Mountain Biking in Big Bear

Spent Memorial Day ripping downhill lines at Snow Summit MTB Bike Park near Big Bear Lake, CA. We rode steel hardtail mountain bikes. Enjoyed the lift up and kept things mellow down trails Blue Steel, Turtle Trail, Westridge and Going Green. Two days was plenty. Liza caught some air, Karen ate some dirt, Nate rep'ed singlespeed 29ers. A grand time!

After a few laps, we ventured out of bounds to find some premium Southern California backcountry singletrack on US Forest Service road Skyline Trail 1E12. The road is open to OHVs, hikers and bicyclists. Trail features beautiful soft sand, wildflowers and pine forests. Can't wait to return to ride more here!
